About me
I'm Victor Gil, Head of Engineering for a large corporation division. Still, I'm also an innate researcher, always searching for new things to learn, incorporate into my skills and have fun.
I started very early in my life to program. At 7 years old, I learned Basic using some IBM books, then I progressed to Turbo-Pascal, Visual Basic, C (for embedded), .Net 2.0 (until now), Lua, Python, Rust, Scala... Yeah yeah, I touched Java, but just enough to hate it. It was something like: you need Java 8 but JRE 1.3, but JSE 0,6... No, god, please, NO!
I worked for small teams, huge corps, medium, and one of the things you'll find here is also "how the hell you need to know (apart from programming) to work in companies". Lessons that you don't see in your College books, online courses, so I hope you'll find some valuable tips and guidelines.
So, you guest, this guy is old; what can he teach me? Well, stuff that for sure ChatGPT will still need some time to know.
